Even HPE is realizing the Cloud is not for everyone. However, a lot of people like the idea of IT as a Service, or paying for IT under the usage model similar to your utilities. To meet this demand, HPE has rolled out a new product/service offering called HPE Connect. This is a unique offering based on ProLiant hardware, Microsoft OS, and best in class virtualization and cloud management software.
This is a new venture for HPE that has been a long time in the making. The purpose of HPE Connect is to provide small and mid-size businesses on-premise hardware that combines the flexibility and scalability of the cloud with the security and control of on-premise IT. It is a single platform designed to provide storage needs, simple software deployment, ease of management, and a predictable monthly subscription fee that is easy to budget.
Specific details are scarce at the moment but it is an attractive offering if it is rolled out as promised. If you would like to read more about the offering, please visit HPE’s website.
KLH is scheduled to receive our demo unit in the coming weeks. Assuming everything goes well during our trial period, we will start implementing this solution for many of our clients. If you are interested in learning more, or would like to have this solution implemented for your business, please contact us for details.
